The trade Hotmail.com was founded by Jack Smith and Sabeer Bhatia in 1995, it was commercially known on July 4º in 1996 as one of the web mail services by Internet.
Hotmail was bought by Microsoft in 1997 for be known as MSN hotmail, after was called windows live hotmail in 2007. Jack Smith had the idea of use an email service from whatever kind of computer, Sabeer Bhatia created the name of the email service, this name had to include the letters HTML, which is the language to write in web pages; in a selective use of capital letters that after changed by hotmail.
In 1997 hotmail registered an amount of 8, 5 millions of users. In 2001 the hotmail service is seen in danger by hackers , it means that whatever person could have access to the hotmail web page ,it puts in risk to personal information of users during the period of august 2001.
The new system of Microsoft was announced in 2005, it would be faster, simpler and secure .the trade hotmail was planned to disappeared, when Microsoft announced a new email system that will be called windows live mail. But people who tested the service decided that the name was confused and they maintained the name of hotmail; it was windows live hotmail.
